The question, “Does a back support make a significant difference?” needs to be answered to assist the therapist when choosing an optimal back support and to demonstrate to third party payers why a back support should be reimbursed. Outcome measurements demonstrating a statistical difference will be discussed. Learning Objectives: 1. Describe two outcome measures for determining the benefits of a back support 2.
