Details
This workshop will help to clarify the language and concepts you need to talk about how the buttocks responds to sitting. Then we will present an assortment of new and exciting data that relate pressure and deformation in people in upright and slouched sitting, as well as on buttocks models.
Learning Objectives:
1. Define and understand the terms pressure, shear force, shear strain and friction
2. Describe the relationship between interface pressure and tissue deformation
3. Describe three ways that slouching impacts tissue loading or deformation
