B5 - Dysmorphology Methods, Neurobehavioral Testing, and Selected Findings on the Traits of U.S. Children from the CoFASP Initiative for Diagnosing the Full Continuum of FASD in General Populations H. Eugene Hoyme, Kenneth L. Jones, Michael E. Charness, Wendy Kalberg, Claire Coles Diagnostic procedures and criteria used in the Collaboration on FASD Prevalence (CoFASP) will be presented. This presentation will cover the CoFASP investigators’ procedures and empirical evidence for diagnosing the range of FASD diagnoses with newly-revised criteria of the U.S. Institute of Medicine: dysmorphology and physical traits; cognitive and behavioral batteries, and criteria for alcohol exposure. Learning Objectives: 1. Learn the current methods and criteria used for the diagnosis of FASD in the CoFASP initiative which have been used in multiple other populations around the world and which are appropriate for research and clinical work in most any human population 2. Present descriptive highlights of the continuum of physical characteristics and minor anomalies present in children with and without FASD in general populations of the USA 3. Understand the cognitive and behavioral traits for children with and without FASD that are characteristic of first grade children in general U.S. populations
