D9 - Understanding the Prevalence of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) in Ghana Don Fuchs, Michael Baffoe, Mavis Dako-Gyeke This session will provide participants with knowledge relating to the issues and concerns relating to FASD in Ghana and West Africa. It will also increase awareness of culturally anchored collaborative approaches to participatory action research for prevention and intervention of FASD in developing countries. Learning Objectives: 1. Increase awareness of the prevalence of FASD in Ghana and West Africa 2. Increase awareness of the need for culturally anchored FASD prevention and intervention approaches in Ghana and West Africa 3. Provide knowledge and skill in the application of a participatory action research approach to FASD in developing countries 4. Increase awareness of knowledge mobilization approaches in developing countries
