Participants attending any UBC Continuing Dental Education course agree to indemnify and hold harmless The University of British Columbia, its Board of Governors, employees, clinical instructors, lecturers and agents against any and all liabilities, losses, claims, demands, costs and expenses whatsoever, including legal fees, arising from their course attendance

Course Content

For some clinical/hands-on courses, instructors may need to contact participants individually regarding course content. By clicking on ‘I agree’ the participant consents to UBC CDE sharing the participant’s name and email address only with the instructor.

COVID-19

Participants attending any in-person course at The University of British Columbia must regularly refer to information released by the BC Ministry of Health and the Office of the Provincial Health Officer about COVID-19. Participants must adhere to all health professional guidelines released by the BC Centre for Disease Control, BC Provincial Infection Control Network (PICNet) as well as the health and safety guidelines set by The University of British Columbia.  Guidelines may include but are not limited to the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), daily self-assessment prior to visiting UBC, strict adherence to travel restrictions, UBC room capacity limitations, etc. COVID-19 guidelines and protocols are subject to change. UBC CDE will advise registered participant of any new or updated guidelines/protocols.    

In the event that a course is cancelled due to an order, notice and/or guidance from BC’s Provincial Health Officer, The University of British Columbia or any other governmental authority, tuition fees will be fully refunded.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Limited Enrolment Courses require a minimum of 21 days notice for a full refund less $100 administration fee. Cancellations made between 21 and 14 days prior to the first day of the program will receive a 50% refund. No refund will be granted for cancellations made less 14 days prior to the first day of the program. COVID-19: In the event that a course is cancelled by UBC CDE due to an order, notice and/or guidance from BC’s Provincial Health Officer, The University of British Columbia or any other governmental authority, tuition fees will be fully refunded.
